Within a quatrefoil pattern, ‘lā ilāha i/llā Allāh / Muḥammad / rasūl / Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); the last ‘Allāh’ is written in the centre; in the margin, mint and date formula of which ‘… bi Marghīnān sana ithnā wa sitta miʾa’ (‘… in Marghinan in the year 602’ in Arabic) is legible. Rev. Within a circle, ‘ḥusāmī / al-khāqān al-ʿādil / Ḥusām al-Dunyā wa / al-Dīn Qutlugh Ṭughān / Khāqān’ (‘Husami.
